About the Author

Jesus Christ, He is my Lord and Savior – I am eternally grateful for the grace He has shown in my life. He has given far more than I will ever deserve. I know where my strength comes from.

My family – wife and son – I love them and work to lead them well! My other passions include the Bible (by far the most incredible book I’ve ever read!), Leadership, Working Out, Hunting, Fishing, Hiking, History, … I love to laugh and appreciate a good sense of humor. I enjoy reading, learning, improving, and teaching. I always enjoy a good challenge. I find satisfaction in the smallest victories that present themselves in the daily grind.

Career – I have worked in the steel industry since 1988. I started in maintenance “carrying tools,” troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and eventually worked my way into supervision, went back to school, and continued my career in various leadership positions. I’ve lived in many different places across these great United States.

I try not to take myself too seriously though I am very serious about what I believe I am called to do. I think a good sense of humor helps me offset my drive and intensity.

My mission is to honor God, be true to the man in the mirror, and be a rock for those around me. My daily discipline is designed to get stronger in body, mind, and spirit to maximize the impact God designed me to have in this world.

God has called and equipped me to lead and teach men. I love being a man and have a heart for the rugged, wild nature of masculine men.

I’d love to say I have it all figured out. I don’t, but I am learning and applying what I learn every day to get just a little better than the day before.

As I learn, I feel compelled to teach others. Men of Grit is one avenue to do that. I struggle, but I also fight. I don’t give up. I find mercy, grace, strength, and wisdom to stay on the path in the midst of it all.

I am grateful to God.

I am grateful for the men in my life that help me fight the good fight.
